Waterdown Idol at Community FEST

We know that Waterdown is full of talent and we want to hear it. At Community FEST we are having our first ever Waterdown IDOL singing competition. September 11 from 12:30pm-3pm Memorial Park in Waterdown will be host to our first annual Waterdown Idol. It is easy, all you have to do is pick one of our pre-selected songs, practice and preform it for us on our main stage. Ballots will be available on site to vote for which you think is best. The winners will then be awarded prizes. Our winners will win a trophy and get time spent in Waterdown's own YFC recording studio to professionally record themselves on a track.

To sign up simply email info@communitychurch.ca . This is a first come first serve basis until registration is full.

Contest Details:

There are three age groupings for contestants.
Under 12 years old
Under 22 years old
Over 22 years old

To Register For Waterdown IDOL- Send us your name and age category and song selection to: info@communitychurch.ca. We will then email you your performance time. You will have a couple minutes prior to your song to work with our professional sound men to get levels set on stage. We will provide all the music through background tracks.

Road Hockey Tournament Community FEST 2011
Community FEST is hosting its first ever Waterdown Road Hockey Tourney . September 11th from 12:15pm to 3pm teams are invited to compete. There is prizes for the winning teams. Teams must pre-register by emailing there team name and competitors to info@communitychurch.ca or calling 905-689-3979. There are two divisions under 12 and over 12 years old.

Tournament Rules & Info
Each team will consist of no more than 8 players plus a goalie.
The play will be 4 on 4.
All penalties will be assessed as a penalty shot
The games will be 10min. long and the finals 15 minutes long
All players must sign a waiver and if a minor have a parent sign a waiver
